The Partition is produced from an insulated structure of studs and channels, fixed on each side with 12.5mm plasterboards and locked together by means of horizontal spacer bars which are located into the steel posts. The studs are produced from 0.7mm galvanized steel (all steel details are based upon hot galvanised steel sheet) and are fixed between the top and bottom channels. The plasterboards are then located back on the sub frame by means of horizontal and vertical profiles. The vertical profiles are omega shaped with infill sections.
The Partition system has test certification to support
both 1hr and 1/2hr fire resistance in accordance with BS476: Part 22 :
1987.
Doors are supplied pre-hung into frames with intumescent fire and smoke
seals with BS 476 PART 31. 1. 1983. Due to variation between the building
regulations and British standards, all specifications must be checked
with the local authorities.
Glazing can be incorporated into schemes which have a need to be fire
rated using the appropriate pyro type glass . Please check with Omega
Partitions for further information.
We have detailed below the following information with
regard to the sound performance of the three types of partition as shown
across the frequency range 400/2500 Hz in accordance with BS. 2750: 1980.
It must be noted however, that the results have been achieved under laboratory
conditions and any anticipated performance must take into account the
peripheral conditions of the building, ie: suspended ceilings, raised
floors, ducting and glazing.

The Plasterboard panels are 12.5mm thick and range from 2.4m - 3.0m. Where the partitions go over this height, we use a joint trim to accommodate this feature. All plasterboard panels are factory pre finished from a wide selection of vinyl wall coverings which enables us to cut down on our time on site.
